Roading –Santana Theme park (Parque temático de Santana)
The Theme Park in Santana, open to the public in October 2004, is divided in different areas and includes various attractions to old and young people- tourists and inhabitants of the island- related to history, traditions and culture of the people of Madeira. It covers an area of about 7 hectares, where the visitors can find theme attractions, like a simulator that shows the discovery of the island, a circuit 'zoom-in-zoom-out' (with references to monuments or costumes like the traditional “gorro de orelhas”, in bigger and smaller sizes), one replica of the train of Monte that does the route between the various attractions, one cart pulled by oxen and a lake with miniatures of the fishing boats of Câmara de Lobos, in which you can enjoy a ride.
